In November, 2006 I had to travel to Lahore, Pakistan for a freelance job I was working on. This was my first trip to the Middle East and not exactly a place I even envisioned myself visiting, at least at this point in history. I was somewhat apprehensive about the whole excursion, but boarded the plane with an open mind and a newfound sense of adventure.I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. There were a lot of things about Pakistan that appealed to me: the historical sites, the food, the people watching. I'm not sure if I'd ever plan a family vacation there, but for this trip it worked out great for me and I got tons of great material for a whole new blog:
